HEIC Image Converter — Private, Fast, and In-Browser

Convert HEIC/HEIF and AVIF images to JPEG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF directly in your browser. No files are uploaded—everything happens locally for speed and privacy.

Key Features

  • Fully client-side: zero uploads, zero server storage.
  • Batch processing: add multiple files and convert them all at once.
  • Multiple outputs: JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF.
  • EXIF preserved (JPEG): keep camera and capture data when exporting to JPEG.
  • Orientation fix: corrects sideways images using EXIF orientation.
  • ZIP download: optionally bundle all converted images into a single ZIP.

How to Use

  1. Drop your .heic, .heif, or .avif files into the dropzone (or click to browse).
  2. Choose an output format (JPEG/PNG/WebP/AVIF). For JPEG/WebP/AVIF, set a quality.
  3. Optionally keep EXIF (JPEG only) and enable ZIP downloads.
  4. Click Convert All — the app re-converts every file each time, so you can switch formats freely.
  5. Click Download on each file, or download the ZIP if enabled.

Privacy & Security

This tool runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly—your images never leave your device. It’s ideal for sensitive photos and quick conversions without network delays.

Supported Formats

InputOutputNotes
HEIC / HEIFJPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIFEXIF preserved for JPEG output.
AVIFJPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIFRe-encoding may change file size/quality.

Tips

  • Best compatibility: choose JPEG if you’ll share to older apps or systems.
  • Lossless export: choose PNG (quality control is not applicable to PNG).
  • Small file sizes: try WebP or AVIF if your browser supports encoding.

Troubleshooting

  • AVIF/WebP not available: some browsers can’t encode these formats. Use JPEG or PNG.
  • ZIP empty/blocked: ensure “ZIP downloads” is checked and conversions completed; browser pop-up/download blockers may interfere.
  • Image looks rotated in another app: uncheck “Keep EXIF” when exporting to JPEG to remove the orientation tag.
